Genesis 29:33
അവൾ പിന്നെയും ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു: ഞാൻ അനിഷ ്ടഎന്നു യഹോവ കേട്ടതുകൊണ്ടു ഇവനെയും എനിക്കു തന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവന്നു ശിമെയോൻ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

| Because | כִּֽי | kî | kee |
| the Lord | שָׁמַ֤ע | šāmaʿ | sha-MA |
| hath heard | יְהוָה֙ | yĕhwāh | yeh-VA |
| that | כִּֽי | kî | kee |
| I | שְׂנוּאָ֣ה | śĕnûʾâ | seh-noo-AH |
| was hated, | אָנֹ֔כִי | ʾānōkî | ah-NOH-hee |
| he hath therefore given | וַיִּתֶּן | wayyitten | va-yee-TEN |
| me | לִ֖י | lî | lee |
| this | גַּם | gam | ɡahm |
| also: son | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| and she called | זֶ֑ה | ze | zeh |
