Genesis 33:1
അനന്തരം യാക്കോബ് തലപൊക്കി നോക്കി, ഏശാവും അവനോടുകൂടെ നാനൂറു ആളും വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു; തന്റെ മക്കളെ ലേയയുടെ അടുക്കലും റാഹേലിന്റെ അടുക്കലും രണ്ടു ദാസിമാരുടെ അടുക്കലും വിഭാഗിച്ചു നിർത്തി.

| his eyes, | עֵינָ֗יו | ʿênāyw | ay-NAV |
| and looked, | וַיַּרְא֙ | wayyar | va-yahr |
| behold, and, | וְהִנֵּ֣ה | wĕhinnē | veh-hee-NAY |
| Esau | עֵשָׂ֣ו | ʿēśāw | ay-SAHV |
| came, | בָּ֔א | bāʾ | ba |
| and with | וְעִמּ֕וֹ | wĕʿimmô | veh-EE-moh |
| him four | אַרְבַּ֥ע | ʾarbaʿ | ar-BA |
| hundred | מֵא֖וֹת | mēʾôt | may-OTE |
| men. | אִ֑ישׁ | ʾîš | eesh |
| And he divided | וַיַּ֣חַץ | wayyaḥaṣ | va-YA-hahts |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| the children | הַיְלָדִ֗ים | haylādîm | hai-la-DEEM |
| unto | עַל | ʿal | al |
| Leah, | לֵאָה֙ | lēʾāh | lay-AH |
| unto and | וְעַל | wĕʿal | veh-AL |
| Rachel, | רָחֵ֔ל | rāḥēl | ra-HALE |
| and unto | וְעַ֖ל | wĕʿal | veh-AL |
| the two | שְׁתֵּ֥י | šĕttê | sheh-TAY |
| handmaids. | הַשְּׁפָחֽוֹת׃ | haššĕpāḥôt | ha-sheh-fa-HOTE |
