Genesis 6:3
അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ: മനുഷ്യനിൽ എന്റെ ആത്മാവു സദാകാലവും വാദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കയില്ല; അവൻ ജഡം തന്നേയല്ലോ; എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ കാലം നൂറ്റിരുപതു സംവത്സരമാകും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

| said, | יְהוָ֗ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| My spirit | לֹֽא | lōʾ | loh |
| not shall | יָד֨וֹן | yādôn | ya-DONE |
| always | רוּחִ֤י | rûḥî | roo-HEE |
| strive | בָֽאָדָם֙ | bāʾādām | va-ah-DAHM |
| with man, | לְעֹלָ֔ם | lĕʿōlām | leh-oh-LAHM |
| he that for | בְּשַׁגַּ֖ם | bĕšaggam | beh-sha-ɡAHM |
| also | ה֣וּא | hûʾ | hoo |
| is flesh: | בָשָׂ֑ר | bāśār | va-SAHR |
| yet his days | וְהָי֣וּ | wĕhāyû | veh-ha-YOO |
| be shall | יָמָ֔יו | yāmāyw | ya-MAV |
| an hundred | מֵאָ֥ה | mēʾâ | may-AH |
| and twenty | וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים | wĕʿeśrîm | veh-es-REEM |
| years. | שָׁנָֽה׃ | šānâ | sha-NA |
