ആ കാലത്തു തന്നേ, യഹോവ ആമോസിന്റെ മകനായ യെശയ്യാവോടു: നീ ചെന്നു നിന്റെ അരയിൽനിന്നു രട്ടുശീല അഴിച്ചുവെച്ചു കാലിൽനിന്നു ചെരിപ്പും ഊരിക്കളക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; അവൻ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു നഗ്നനായും ചെരിപ്പിടാതെയും നടന്നു.

the son בֶן bēn bane
of Amoz, אָמוֹץ֮ ʾāmôṣ ah-MOHTS
saying, לֵאמֹר֒ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
Go לֵ֗ךְ hālak ha-LAHK
and loose וּפִתַּחְתָּ֤ pātaḥ pa-TAHK
the sackcloth הַשַּׂק֙ śaq sahk
from off מֵעַ֣ל ʿal al
thy loins, מָתְנֶ֔יךָ mōten moh-TEN
thy shoe וְנַעַלְךָ֥ naʿal na-AL
and put off תַחֲלֹ֖ץ ḥālaṣ ha-LAHTS
from מֵעַ֣ל ʿal al
thy foot. רַגְלֶ֑ךָ regel reh-ɡEL
And he did so, וַיַּ֣עַשׂ ʿāśâ ah-SA
כֵּ֔ן kēn kane
walking הָלֹ֖ךְ hālak ha-LAHK
naked עָר֥וֹם ʿārôm ah-ROME
and barefoot. וְיָחֵֽף׃ yāḥēp ya-HAFE
