അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ അരയിൽ വേദന നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; നോവു കിട്ടിയ സ്ത്രീയുടെ നോവുപോലെയുള്ള വേദന എന്നെ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു ചെവി കേട്ടുകൂടാതവണ്ണം ഞാൻ അതിവേദനപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; കണ്ണു കാണാതവണ്ണം ഞാൻ പരിഭ്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

	כֵּ֗ן	kēn	kane
filled	מָלְא֤וּ	mālēʾ	ma-LAY
are my loins	מָתְנַי֙	mōten	moh-TEN
with pain:	חַלְחָלָ֔ה	ḥalḥālâ	hahl-ha-LA
pangs	צִירִ֣ים	ṣîr	tseer
have taken hold	אֲחָז֔וּנִי	ʾāḥaz	ah-HAHZ
upon me, as the pangs	כְּצִירֵ֖י	ṣîr	tseer
of a woman that travaileth:	יֽוֹלֵדָ֑ה	yālad	ya-LAHD
I was bowed down	נַעֲוֵ֣יתִי	ʿāwâ	ah-VA
at the hearing	מִשְּׁמֹ֔עַ	šāmaʿ	sha-MA
I was dismayed	נִבְהַ֖לְתִּי	bāhal	ba-HAHL
at the seeing	מֵרְאֽוֹת׃	rāʾâ	ra-AH
