അവൻ പീഡനത്താലും ശിക്ഷാവിധിയാലും എടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു അവൻ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നും എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അതിക്രമം നിമിത്തം അവന്നു ദണ്ഡനം വന്നു എന്നും അവന്റെ തലമുറയിൽ ആർ‍ വിചാരിച്ചു?

He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
