Isaiah 57:17
അവരുടെ അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ കോപിച്ചു അവരെ അടിച്ചു; ഞാൻ കോപിച്ചു മുഖം മറെച്ചു; എന്നാറെ അവർ തിരിഞ്ഞു തങ്ങൾക്കു തോന്നിയ വഴിയിൽ നടന്നു.

| of his covetousness | בִּצְע֛וֹ | biṣʿô | beets-OH |
| wroth, I was | קָצַ֥פְתִּי | qāṣaptî | ka-TSAHF-tee |
| and smote | וְאַכֵּ֖הוּ | wĕʾakkēhû | veh-ah-KAY-hoo |
| him: I hid | הַסְתֵּ֣ר | hastēr | hahs-TARE |
| wroth, was and me, | וְאֶקְצֹ֑ף | wĕʾeqṣōp | veh-ek-TSOFE |
| and he went on | וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ | wayyēlek | va-YAY-lek |
| frowardly | שׁוֹבָ֖ב | šôbāb | shoh-VAHV |
| in the way | בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ | bĕderek | beh-DEH-rek |
