ഇങ്ങനെ എനിക്കു ഭവിപ്പാൻ സംഗതി എന്തു എന്നു നീ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ചോദിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ--നിന്റെ അകൃത്യബഹുത്വം നിമിത്തം നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ വിളുമ്പു നീങ്ങിയും നിന്റെ കുതികാലിന്നു അപമാനം വന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

Wherefore מַדּ֖וּעַ maddûaʿ ma-DOO-ah
come קְרָאֻ֣נִי qārāʾ ka-RA
these things אֵ֑לֶּה ʾēlle ay-LEH
upon me? For the greatness בְּרֹ֧ב rōb rove
of thine iniquity עֲוֹנֵ֛ךְ ʿāwōn ah-VONE
discovered, נִגְל֥וּ gālâ ɡa-LA
are thy skirts שׁוּלַ֖יִךְ šûl shool
made bare. נֶחְמְס֥וּ ḥāmas ha-MAHS
thy heels עֲקֵבָֽיִךְ׃ ʿāqēb ah-KAVE
