യെഹൂദാ ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ പടിവാതിൽക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവൻ ക്ഷീണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ കറുപ്പുടുത്തു നിലത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ നിലവിളി പൊങ്ങുന്നു.

they are black קָדְר֣וּ qādar ka-DAHR
unto the ground; לָאָ֑רֶץ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
and the cry וְצִוְחַ֥ת ṣĕwāḥâ tseh-va-HA
of Jerusalem יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם yĕrûšālaim yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM
is gone up. עָלָֽתָה׃ ʿālâ ah-LA
