ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തെ സ്തംഭനത്തിന്നും പരിഹാസത്തിന്നും വിഷയമാക്കിത്തീർക്കും; അതിന്നരികെ കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവനും സ്തംഭിച്ചു അതിന്നു നേരിട്ട സകല ബാധകളും നിമിത്തം ചൂളകുത്തും.

And I will make	וְשַׂמְתִּי֙	śûm	soom
	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
city	הָעִ֣יר	ʿîr	eer
this	הַזֹּ֔את	zōt	zote
desolate,	לְשַׁמָּ֖ה	šammâ	sha-MA
and an hissing;	וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֑ה	šĕrēqâ	sheh-ray-KA
every one	כֹּ֚ל	kōl	kole
that passeth	עֹבֵ֣ר	ʿābar	ah-VAHR
thereby	עָלֶ֔יהָ	ʿal	al
shall be astonished	יִשֹּׁ֥ם	šāmēm	sha-MAME
and hiss	וְיִשְׁרֹ֖ק	šāraq	sha-RAHK
because	עַל	ʿal	al
of all	כָּל	kōl	kole
the plagues thereof.	מַכֹּתֶֽהָ׃	makkâ	ma-KA
