സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അനർത്ഥം ജാതിയിൽനിന്നു ജാതിയിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു വലിയ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു ഇളകിവരും.

saith אָמַר֙ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
the Lord יְהוָ֣ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
of hosts, צְבָא֔וֹת ṣābāʾ tsa-VA
Behold, הִנֵּ֥ה hinnē hee-NAY
evil רָעָ֛ה raʿ ra
shall go forth יֹצֵ֖את yāṣāʾ ya-TSA
from nation מִגּ֣וֹי gôy ɡoy
to אֶל ʾēl ale
nation, גּ֑וֹי gôy ɡoy
whirlwind וְסַ֣עַר saʿar sa-AR
and a great גָּד֔וֹל gādôl ɡa-DOLE
shall be raised up יֵע֖וֹר ʿûr oor
from the coasts מִיַּרְכְּתֵי yĕrēkâ yeh-ray-HA
of the earth. אָֽרֶץ׃ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
