സൂര്യനെ പകൽ വെളിച്ചത്തിന്നും ചന്ദ്രന്റെയും നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെയും വ്യവസ്ഥയെ രാത്രി വെളിച്ചത്തിന്നും നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവനും കടലിലെ തിരകൾ അലറുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അതിനെ ഇളക്കുന്നവനും സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നു നാമമുള്ളവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:

the sun שֶׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ šemeš sheh-MESH
for a light לְא֣וֹר ʾôr ore
by day, יוֹמָ֔ם yômām yoh-MAHM
the ordinances חֻקֹּ֛ת ḥuqqâ hoo-KA
of the moon יָרֵ֥חַ yārēaḥ ya-RAY-ak
and of the stars וְכוֹכָבִ֖ים kôkāb koh-HAHV
for a light לְא֣וֹר ʾôr ore
by night, לָ֑יְלָה layil la-YEEL
which divideth רֹגַ֤ע rāgaʿ ra-ɡA
the sea הַיָּם֙ yām yahm
thereof roar; וַיֶּהֱמ֣וּ hāmâ ha-MA
when the waves גַלָּ֔יו gal ɡahl
The Lord יְהוָ֥ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
of hosts צְבָא֖וֹת ṣābāʾ tsa-VA
his name: שְׁמֽוֹ׃ šēm shame
