ഇതാ, വാടകൾ! നഗരത്തെ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു! വാളും ക്ഷാമവും മഹാമാരിയും ഹേതുവായി ഈ നഗരം അതിന്നു നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അരുളിചെയ്തതു സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അതു കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

they are come בָּ֣אוּ bôʾ boh
unto the city הָעִיר֮ ʿîr eer
to take לְלָכְדָהּ֒ lākad la-HAHD
it; and the city וְהָעִ֣יר ʿîr eer
is given נִתְּנָ֗ה nātan na-TAHN
into the hand בְּיַ֤ד yād yahd
of the Chaldeans, הַכַּשְׂדִּים֙ kaśdî kahs-DEE
that fight הַנִּלְחָמִ֣ים lāḥam la-HAHM
against עָלֶ֔יהָ ʿal al
it, because מִפְּנֵ֛י pānîm pa-NEEM
of the sword, הַחֶ֥רֶב ḥereb heh-REV
and of the famine, וְהָרָעָ֖ב rāʿāb ra-AV
and of the pestilence: וְהַדָּ֑בֶר deber deh-VER
and what וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
thou hast spoken דִּבַּ֛רְתָּ dābar da-VAHR
is come to pass; הָיָ֖ה hāyâ ha-YA
and, behold, וְהִנְּךָ֥ hēn hane
thou seest רֹאֶֽה׃ rāʾâ ra-AH
