ആരും തന്റെ ദാസനെക്കൊണ്ടും ദാസിയെക്കൊണ്ടും ഇനി അടിമവേല ചെയ്യിക്കാതെ അവരെ സ്വതന്ത്രരായി വിട്ടയക്കേണമെന്നുള്ള നിയമത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ട സകല പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സർവ്വജനവും അതു അനുസരിച്ചു അവരെ വിട്ടയച്ചിരുന്നു.

had entered	בָּ֣אוּ	bôʾ	boh
into the covenant,	בַבְּרִ֗ית	bĕrît	beh-REET
go	לְ֠שַׁלַּח	šālaḥ	sha-LAHK
that every one	אִ֣ישׁ	ʾîš	eesh
should let	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
his manservant,	עַבְדּ֞וֹ	ʿebed	eh-VED
and every one	וְאִ֤ישׁ	ʾîš	eesh
	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
his maidservant,	שִׁפְחָתוֹ֙	šipḥâ	sheef-HA
free,	חָפְשִׁ֔ים	ḥopšî	hofe-SHEE
that none	לְבִלְתִּ֥י	biltî	beel-TEE
should serve	עֲבָד	ʿābad	ah-VAHD
	בָּ֖ם
themselves of them any more,	ע֑וֹד	ʿôd	ode
then they obeyed,	וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֖וּ	šāmaʿ	sha-MA
and let go.	וַיְשַׁלֵּֽחוּ׃	šālaḥ	sha-LAHK
