ചുരുൾ ചുട്ടുകളയരുതേ എന്നു എൽനാഥാനും ദെലായാവും ശെമർയ്യാവും രാജാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു എങ്കിലും അവൻ അവരുടെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടില്ല.

and Gemariah	וּגְמַרְיָ֙הוּ֙	gĕmaryâ	ɡeh-mahr-YA
had made intercession	הִפְגִּ֣עוּ	pāgaʿ	pa-ɡA
to the king	בַמֶּ֔לֶךְ	melek	meh-LEK
that he would not	לְבִלְתִּ֥י	biltî	beel-TEE
burn	שְׂרֹ֖ף	śārap	sa-RAHF
	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
the roll:	הַמְּגִלָּ֑ה	mĕgillâ	meh-ɡee-LA
but he would not	וְלֹ֥א	lōʾ	loh
hear	שָׁמַ֖ע	šāmaʿ	sha-MA
them.	אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃	ʾēl	ale
