കുതിരച്ചേവകരുടെയും വില്ലാളികളുടെയും ആരവം ഹേതുവായി സകല നഗരവാസികളും ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നു; അവർ പള്ളക്കാടുകളിൽ ചെന്നു പാറകളിന്മേൽ കയറുന്നു; സകല നഗരവും ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ആരും അവിടെ പാർക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

for the noise	מִקּ֨וֹל	qôl	kole
of the horsemen	פָּרָ֜שׁ	pāroš	pa-ROHSH
	וְרֹ֣מֵה	rāmâ	ra-MA
and bowmen;	קֶ֗שֶׁת	qešet	keh-SHET
shall flee	בֹּרַ֙חַת֙	bāraḥ	ba-RAHK
The whole	כָּל	kōl	kole
city	הָעִ֔יר	ʿîr	eer
they shall go	בָּ֚אוּ	bôʾ	boh
into thickets,	בֶּעָבִ֔ים	ʿāb	av
upon the rocks:	וּבַכֵּפִ֖ים	kēp	kafe
and climb up	עָל֑וּ	ʿālâ	ah-LA
every	כָּל	kōl	kole
city	הָעִ֣יר	ʿîr	eer
forsaken,	עֲזוּבָ֔ה	ʿāzab	ah-ZAHV
and not	וְאֵין	ʾayin	ah-YEEN
dwell	יוֹשֵׁ֥ב	yāšab	ya-SHAHV
therein.	בָּהֵ֖ן	hēn	hane
a man	אִֽישׁ׃	ʾîš	eesh
