പിന്നെ കാരേഹിന്റെ മകനായ യോഹാനാൻ മിസ്പയിൽവെച്ചു ഗെദല്യാവോടു രഹസ്യമായി സംസാരിച്ചു: ഞാൻ ചെന്നു ആരും അറിയാതെ നെഥന്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലിനെ കൊന്നുകളയട്ടെ; നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൂടിയിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ യെഹൂദന്മാരും ചിതറിപ്പോകുവാനും യെഹൂദയിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവർ നശിച്ചുപോകുവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം അവൻ നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
