നെഥന്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ യിശ്മായേലും കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പത്തു ആളും എഴുന്നേറ്റു, ബാബേൽരാജാവു ദേശാധിപതിയാക്കിയിരുന്ന ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ അഹീക്കാമിന്റെ മകനായ ഗെദല്യാവെ വാൾകൊണ്ടു വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നു.

that אֲשֶׁר ʾăšer uh-SHER
were הָי֣וּ hāyâ ha-YA
with אִתּ֗וֹ ʾēt ate
him, and smote וַ֠יַּכּוּ nākâ na-HA
אֶת ʾēt ate
Gedaliah גְּדַלְיָ֨הוּ gĕddalyâ ɡeh-dahl-YA
the son בֶן bēn bane
of Ahikam אֲחִיקָ֧ם ʾăḥîqām uh-hee-KAHM
the son בֶּן bēn bane
of Shaphan שָׁפָ֛ן šāpān sha-FAHN
with the sword, בַּחֶ֖רֶב ḥereb heh-REV
and slew וַיָּ֣מֶת mût moot
אֹת֑וֹ ʾēt ate
him, whom אֲשֶׁר ʾăšer uh-SHER
had made governor הִפְקִ֥יד pāqad pa-KAHD
the king מֶֽלֶךְ melek meh-LEK
of Babylon בָּבֶ֖ל bābel ba-VEL
over the land. בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
