and the law וְתוֹרַ֥ת tôrâ toh-RA
of the Lord יְהוָ֖ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
with אִתָּ֑נוּ ʾēt ate
certainly אָכֵן֙ ʾākēn ah-HANE
us? Lo, הִנֵּ֣ה hinnē hee-NAY
in vain לַשֶּׁ֣קֶר šeqer sheh-KER
made עָשָׂ֔ה ʿāśâ ah-SA
he the pen עֵ֖ט ʿēṭ ate
in vain. שֶׁ֥קֶר šeqer sheh-KER
of the scribes סֹפְרִֽים׃ sāpar sa-FAHR
