നിയമപെട്ടകം ചുമക്കുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാർ യോർദ്ദാനിലെ വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ വക്കത്തു എത്തുമ്പോൾ യോർദ്ദാനിൽ നില്പാൻ കല്പിക്ക എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

shalt command	תְּצַוֶּה֙	ṣāwâ	tsa-VA
	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
the priests	הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים	kōhēn	koh-HANE
that bear	נֹֽשְׂאֵ֥י	nāśāʾ	na-SA
the ark	אֲרֽוֹן	ʾārôn	ah-RONE
of the covenant,	הַבְּרִ֖ית	bĕrît	beh-REET
saying,	לֵאמֹ֑ר	ʾāmar	ah-MAHR
When ye are come	כְּבֹֽאֲכֶ֗ם	bôʾ	boh
to	עַד	ʿad	ad
the brink	קְצֵה֙	qāṣe	ka-TSEH
of the water	מֵ֣י	mayim	ma-YEEM
of Jordan,	הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן	yardēn	yahr-DANE
in Jordan.	בַּיַּרְדֵּ֖ן	yardēn	yahr-DANE
ye shall stand still	תַּֽעֲמֹֽדוּ׃	ʿāmad	ah-MAHD
