ദാവീദ് യോനാഥാനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നാളെ അമാവാസ്യയാകുന്നു; ഞാനും രാജാവിനോടുകൂടെ പന്തിഭോജനത്തിന്നു ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതല്ലോ; എങ്കിലും മറ്റെന്നാൾ വൈകുന്നേരംവരെ വയലിൽ ഒളിച്ചിരിപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു അനുവാദം തരേണം.
