ശമൂവേൽ-1 9:17
ശമൂവേൽ ശൌലിനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ യഹോവ അവനോടു: ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത ആൾ ഇതാ; ഇവനാകുന്നു എന്റെ ജനത്തെ ഭരിപ്പാനുള്ളവൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

| said | עָנָ֔הוּ | ʿānāhû | ah-NA-hoo |
| unto him, Behold | הִנֵּ֤ה | hinnē | hee-NAY |
| man the | הָאִישׁ֙ | hāʾîš | ha-EESH |
| whom | אֲשֶׁ֣ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| I spake | אָמַ֣רְתִּי | ʾāmartî | ah-MAHR-tee |
| to | אֵלֶ֔יךָ | ʾēlêkā | ay-LAY-ha |
| same this of! thee | זֶ֖ה | ze | zeh |
| shall reign | יַעְצֹ֥ר | yaʿṣōr | ya-TSORE |
| over my people. | בְּעַמִּֽי׃ | bĕʿammî | beh-ah-MEE |
