അവൻ എഫ്രയീംമലനാട്ടിലും ശാലീശാദേശത്തുംകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു; അവയെ കണ്ടില്ല; അവർ ശാലീംദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു; അവിടെയും ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ബെന്യാമീൻ ദേശത്തുകൂടിയും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും കണ്ടു കിട്ടിയില്ല.

| but they found | וְלֹ֣א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| not: them | מָצָ֑אוּ | māṣāʾû | ma-TSA-oo |
| then they passed through | וַיַּֽעַבְר֤וּ | wayyaʿabrû | va-ya-av-ROO |
| land the | בְאֶרֶץ | bĕʾereṣ | veh-eh-RETS |
| of Shalim, | שַֽׁעֲלִים֙ | šaʿălîm | sha-uh-LEEM |
| not: were they there and | וָאַ֔יִן | wāʾayin | va-AH-yeen |
