നീ അവയെ നിന്റെ മക്കൾക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും നീ വീട്ടിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോഴും വഴി നടക്കുമ്പോഴും കിടക്കുമ്പോഴും എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുമ്പോഴും അവയെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിക്കയും വേണം.
| And diligently them teach shalt thou | וְשִׁנַּנְתָּ֣ם | wĕšinnantām | veh-shee-nahn-TAHM |
| unto thy children, | לְבָנֶ֔יךָ | lĕbānêkā | leh-va-NAY-ha |
| talk shalt and | וְדִבַּרְתָּ֖ | wĕdibbartā | veh-dee-bahr-TA |
| of them when thou sittest | בָּ֑ם | bām | bahm |
| house, thine in | בְּשִׁבְתְּךָ֤ | bĕšibtĕkā | beh-sheev-teh-HA |
| and when thou walkest | בְּבֵיתֶ֙ךָ֙ | bĕbêtekā | beh-vay-TEH-HA |
| way, the by | וּבְלֶכְתְּךָ֣ | ûbĕlektĕkā | oo-veh-lek-teh-HA |
| down, liest thou when and | בַדֶּ֔רֶךְ | badderek | va-DEH-rek |
| and when thou risest up. | וּֽבְשָׁכְבְּךָ֖ | ûbĕšokbĕkā | oo-veh-shoke-beh-HA |
