എസ്ഥേർ 6:9
വസ്ത്രവും കുതിരയും രാജാവിന്റെ അതിശ്രേഷ്ഠപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കേണം; രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു പുരുഷനെ ആ വസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിച്ചു കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറ്റി പട്ടണവീഥിയിൽ കൂടെ കൊണ്ടുനടന്നു: രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യും എന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വിളിച്ചുപറയേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

| princes, | הַֽפַּרְתְּמִ֔ים | happartĕmîm | ha-pahr-teh-MEEM |
| that they may array | וְהִלְבִּ֙ישׁוּ֙ | wĕhilbîšû | veh-heel-BEE-SHOO |

| man the | הָאִ֔ישׁ | hāʾîš | ha-EESH |
| withal whom | אֲשֶׁ֥ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| the king | הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ | hammelek | ha-MEH-lek |
| delighteth | חָפֵ֣ץ | ḥāpēṣ | ha-FAYTS |
| honour, to | בִּֽיקָר֑וֹ | bîqārô | bee-ka-ROH |
| and bring | וְהִרְכִּיבֻ֤הוּ | wĕhirkîbuhû | veh-heer-kee-VOO-hoo |
| him on | עַל | ʿal | al |
| horseback | הַסּוּס֙ | hassûs | ha-SOOS |
| street the through | בִּרְח֣וֹב | birḥôb | beer-HOVE |
| of the city, | הָעִ֔יר | hāʿîr | ha-EER |
| and proclaim | וְקָֽרְא֣וּ | wĕqārĕʾû | veh-ka-reh-OO |
| before | לְפָנָ֔יו | lĕpānāyw | leh-fa-NAV |
| Thus him, | כָּ֚כָה | kākâ | KA-ha |
| shall it be done | יֵֽעָשֶׂ֣ה | yēʿāśe | yay-ah-SEH |
| man the to | לָאִ֔ישׁ | lāʾîš | la-EESH |
| whom | אֲשֶׁ֥ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| the king | הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ | hammelek | ha-MEH-lek |
| delighteth | חָפֵ֥ץ | ḥāpēṣ | ha-FAYTS |
| to honour. | בִּֽיקָרֽוֹ׃ | bîqārô | BEE-ka-ROH |
