കയീൻ തന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു; അവൾ ഗർഭം ധരിച്ചു ഹാനോക്കിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. അവൻ ഒരു പട്ടണം പണിതു, ഹാനോക്ക് എന്നു തന്റെ മകന്റെ പേരിട്ടു.

And Cain	וַיֵּ֤דַע	wayyēdaʿ	va-YAY-da
knew	קַ֙יִן֙	qayin	KA-YEEN
	אֶת	ʾet	et
his wife;	אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ	ʾištô	eesh-TOH
conceived, she and	וַתַּ֖הַר	wattahar	va-TA-hahr
and bare	וַתֵּ֣לֶד	wattēled	va-TAY-led
	אֶת	ʾet	et
Enoch:	חֲנ֑וֹךְ	ḥănôk	huh-NOKE
and he builded	וַֽיְהִי֙	wayhiy	va-HEE
city, a	בֹּ֣נֶה	bōne	BOH-neh
and called	עִ֔יר	ʿîr	eer
the name	וַיִּקְרָא֙	wayyiqrāʾ	va-yeek-RA
city, the of	שֵׁ֣ם	šēm	shame
after the name	הָעִ֔יר	hāʿîr	ha-EER
of his son,	כְּשֵׁ֖ם	kĕšēm	keh-SHAME
Enoch.	בְּנ֥וֹ	bĕnô	beh-NOH
	חֲנֽוֹךְ׃	ḥănôk	huh-NOKE
