യെശയ്യാ 8:22
അവർ ഭൂമിയിൽ നോക്കുമ്പോൾ കഷ്ടതയും അന്ധകാരവും സങ്കടമുള്ള തിമിരവും കാണും; കൂരിരുട്ടിലേക്കു അവരെ തള്ളിക്കളയും.

| and behold | וְהִנֵּ֨ה | wĕhinnē | veh-hee-NAY |
| trouble | צָרָ֤ה | ṣārâ | tsa-RA |
| darkness, and | וַחֲשֵׁכָה֙ | waḥăšēkāh | va-huh-shay-HA |
| dimness | מְע֣וּף | mĕʿûp | meh-OOF |
| of anguish; | צוּקָ֔ה | ṣûqâ | tsoo-KA |
| driven be shall they and | וַאֲפֵלָ֖ה | waʾăpēlâ | va-uh-fay-LA |
| to darkness. | מְנֻדָּֽח׃ | mĕnuddāḥ | meh-noo-DAHK |
