എന്നാൽ ശബ്ബത്തുനാൾ വിശുദ്ധീകരിപ്പാനും ശബ്ബത്തുനാളിൽ യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ വാതിലുകളിൽകൂടി ചുമടു ചുമന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോകാതെ ഇരിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ അതിന്റെ വാതിലുകളിൽ തീ കൊളുത്തും; അതു കെട്ടുപോകാതെ യെരൂശലേമിലെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കും.

But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

day, י֣וֹם yôm yome
the sabbath הַשַּׁבָּ֔ת šabbāt sha-BAHT
and not וּלְבִלְתִּ֣י׀ biltî beel-TEE
to bear שְׂאֵ֣ת nāśāʾ na-SA
a burden, מַשָּׂ֗א maśśāʾ ma-SA
even entering in וּבֹ֛א bôʾ boh
at the gates בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֥י šaʿar sha-AR
of Jerusalem יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם yĕrûšālaim yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM
day; בְּי֣וֹם yôm yome
on the sabbath הַשַּׁבָּ֑ת šabbāt sha-BAHT
then will I kindle וְהִצַּ֧תִּי yāṣat ya-TSAHT
a fire אֵ֣שׁ ʾēš aysh
in the gates בִּשְׁעָרֶ֗יהָ šaʿar sha-AR
thereof, and it shall devour וְאָֽכְלָ֛ה ʾākal ah-HAHL
the palaces אַרְמְנ֥וֹת ʾarmôn ar-MONE
of Jerusalem, יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם yĕrûšālaim yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM
and it shall not וְלֹ֥א lōʾ loh
be quenched. תִכְבֶּֽה׃ kābâ ka-VA
