അങ്ങനെ യെരുബ്ബാലിന്റെ എഴുപതു പുത്രന്മാരോടും ചെയ്ത പാതകത്തിന്നു പ്രതികാരം വരികയും അവരുടെ രക്തം അവരെ കൊന്നവനായ അവരുടെ സഹോദരൻ അബീമേലെക്കും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അവന്നു തുണയായിരുന്ന ശെഖേം പൌരന്മാരും ചുമക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
