Nehemiah 5:3
ഞങ്ങളുടെ നിലങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളും വീടുകളും പണയം എഴുതി ഈ ദുർഭിക്ഷകാലത്തു ധാന്യം വാങ്ങേണ്ടിവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചിലരും

| said, | אֹֽמְרִ֔ים | ʾōmĕrîm | oh-meh-REEM |
| We | שְׂדֹתֵ֛ינוּ | śĕdōtênû | seh-doh-TAY-noo |
| have mortgaged | וּכְרָמֵ֥ינוּ | ûkĕrāmênû | oo-heh-ra-MAY-noo |
| our lands, | וּבָתֵּ֖ינוּ | ûbottênû | oo-voh-TAY-noo |
| vineyards, | אֲנַ֣חְנוּ | ʾănaḥnû | uh-NAHK-noo |
| and houses, | עֹֽרְבִ֑ים | ʿōrĕbîm | oh-reh-VEEM |
| buy might we that | וְנִקְחָ֥ה | wĕniqḥâ | veh-neek-HA |
| corn, | דָגָ֖ן | dāgān | da-ɡAHN |
| because of the dearth. | בָּֽרָעָֽב׃ | bārāʿāb | BA-ra-AV |
