Proverbs 11 in Malayalam

1 കള്ളത്തുലാസ്സു യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു; ഒത്ത പടിയോ അവന്നു പ്രസാദം.

2 അഹങ്കാരം വരുമ്പോൾ ലജ്ജയും വരുന്നു; താഴ്മയുള്ളവരുടെ പക്കലോ ജ്ഞാനമുണ്ടു.

3 നേരുള്ളവരുടെ നിഷ്കളങ്കത്വം അവരെ വഴിനടത്തും; ദ്രോഹികളുടെ വികടമോ അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കും.

4 ക്രോധദിവസത്തിൽ സമ്പത്തു ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; നീതിയോ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

5 നിഷ്കളങ്കന്റെ നീതി അവന്റെ വഴിയെ ചൊവ്വാക്കും; ദുഷ്ടനോ തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടതകൊണ്ടു വീണു പോകും.

6 നേരുള്ളവരുടെ നീതി അവരെ വിടുവിക്കും; ദ്രോഹികളോ തങ്ങളുടെ ദ്രോഹത്താൽ പിടിപെടും.

7 ദുഷ്ടൻ മരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ പ്രതീക്ഷ നശിക്കുന്നു; നീതികെട്ടവരുടെ ആശെക്കു ഭംഗം വരുന്നു.

8 നീതിമാൻ കഷ്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടൻ അവന്നു പകരം അകപ്പെടുന്നു.

9 വഷളൻ വായ്കൊണ്ടു കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാരോ പരിജ്ഞാനത്താൽ വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

10 നീതിമാന്മാർ ശുഭമായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ പട്ടണം സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ നശിക്കുമ്പോൾ ആർപ്പുവിളി ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു.

11 നേരുള്ളവരുടെ അനുഗ്രഹംകൊണ്ടു പട്ടണം അഭ്യുദയം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായ്കൊണ്ടോ അതു ഇടിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.

12 കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നവൻ ബുദ്ധിഹീനൻ; വിവേകമുള്ളവനോ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കുന്നു.

13 ഏഷണിക്കാരനായി നടക്കുന്നവൻ രഹസ്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; വിശ്വസ്തമാനസനോ കാര്യം മറെച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു.

14 പരിപാലനം ഇല്ലാത്തേടത്തു ജനം അധോഗതി പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; മന്ത്രിമാരുടെ ബഹുത്വത്തിലോ രക്ഷയുണ്ടു.

15 അന്യന്നുവേണ്ടി ജാമ്യം നില്ക്കുന്നവൻ അത്യന്തം വ്യസനിക്കും! ജാമ്യം നില്പാൻ പോകാത്തവനോ നിർഭയനായിരിക്കും.

16 ലാവണ്യമുള്ള സ്ത്രീ മാനം രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; വിക്രമന്മാർ സമ്പത്തു സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

17 ദയാലുവായവൻ സ്വന്തപ്രാണന്നു നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു; ക്രൂരനോ സ്വന്തജഡത്തെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നു.

18 ദുഷ്ടൻ വൃഥാലാഭം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; നീതി വിതെക്കുന്നവനോ വാസ്തവമായ പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടും.

19 നീതിയിൽ സ്ഥിരപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവൻ ജീവനെ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; ദോഷത്തെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവനോ തന്റെ മരണത്തിന്നായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.

20 വക്രബുദ്ധികൾ യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു; നിഷ്കളങ്കമാർഗ്ഗികളോ അവന്നു പ്രസാദം.

21 ദുഷ്ടന്നു ശിക്ഷ വരാതിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നതിന്നു ഞാൻ കയ്യടിക്കാം; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ സന്തതിയോ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും.

22 വിവേകമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു സുന്ദരി പന്നിയുടെ മൂക്കിൽ പൊൻ മൂകൂത്തിപോലെ.

23 നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ ആഗ്രഹം നന്മ തന്നേ; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പ്രതീക്ഷയോ ക്രോധമത്രേ.

24 ഒരുത്തൻ വാരിവിതറീട്ടും വർദ്ധിച്ചുവരുന്നു; മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ ന്യായവിരുദ്ധമായി ലോഭിച്ചിട്ടും ഞെരുക്കമേയുള്ളു.

25 ഔദാര്യമാനസൻ പുഷ്ടി പ്രാപിക്കും; തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നവന്നു തണുപ്പു കിട്ടും.

26 ധാന്യം പൂട്ടിയിട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നവനെ ജനങ്ങൾ ശപിക്കും; അതു വില്ക്കുന്നവന്റെ തലമേലോ അനുഗ്രഹംവരും.

27 നന്മെക്കായി ഉത്സാഹിക്കുന്നവൻ രഞ്ജന സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നു; തിന്മയെ തിരയുന്നവന്നോ അതു തന്നേ കിട്ടും.

28 തന്റെ സമ്പത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവൻ വീഴും; നീതിമാന്മാരോ പച്ചയിലപോലെ തഴെക്കും.

29 സ്വഭവനത്തെ വലെക്കുന്നവന്റെ അനുഭവം വായുവത്രെ; ഭോഷൻ ജ്ഞാനഹൃദയന്നു ദാസനായ്തീരും.

30 നീതിമാന്നു ജീവവൃക്ഷം പ്രതിഫലം; ജ്ഞാനിയായവൻ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ നേടന്നു.

31 നീതിമാന്നു ഭൂമിയിൽ പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ദുഷ്ടന്നും പാപിക്കും എത്ര അധികം?

1 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.

2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

7 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.

8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

12 He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

13 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.

14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellers there is safety.

15 He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.

16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

18 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

19 As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

20 They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

22 As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
