दाऊदले हातमा एउटा टेकने लौरो लियो र खोलाबाट चिल्लो पाँचवटा ढुङ्गा टिप्यो। गोठालाको झोलाभित्रको थैलीमा उक्त पाँचवटा ढुङ्गा हाल्यो र घुयेत्रो हातमा बोक्यो। त्यसपछि त्यो पलिश्ती गोल्यतलाई हाँक दिन बढ्‌यो।

smooth	חַלֻּקֵֽי	ḥalluq	ha-LOOK
stones	אֲבָנִ֣ים׀	ʾeben	eh-VEN
out of	מִן	min	meen
the brook,	הַנַּ֡חַל	naḥal	na-HAHL
and put	וַיָּ֣שֶׂם	śûm	soom
	אֹ֠תָם	ʾēt	ate
bag	בִּכְלִ֨י	kĕlî	keh-LEE
them in a shepherd's	הָֽרֹעִ֧ים	rāʿâ	ra-AH
which	אֲשֶׁר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
	ל֛וֹ
he had, even in a scrip;	וּבַיַּלְק֖וּט	yalqûṭ	yahl-KOOT
and his sling	וְקַלְּע֣וֹ	qelaʿ	keh-LA
in his hand:	בְיָד֑וֹ	yād	yahd
and he drew near	וַיִּגַּ֖שׁ	nāgaš	na-ɡAHSH
to	אֶל	ʾēl	ale
the Philistine.	הַפְּלִשְׁתִּֽי׃	pĕlištî	peh-leesh-TEE
