Ecclesiastes 7 - YLT (Nepali)

1 Better `is' a name than good perfume, And the day of death than the day of birth.एउटा असल नाम हुनु सुगन्धित अत्तर भन्दा राम्रो हो। मृत्यु दिवस जन्म दिन भन्दा उत्तम हो।

2 Better to go unto a house of mourning, Than to go unto a house of banqueting, For that is the end of all men, And the living layeth `it' unto his heart.भोजको घरमा जानु भन्दा मलामी जानु असल हो। किन कि सबै एक दिन मर्नै पर्छ अनि हरेक जीवित प्राणीले यो सम्झनु पर्छ।

3 Better `is' sorrow than laughter, For by the sadness of the face the heart becometh better.हाँसो भन्दा शोक र सुर्ता राम्रो हो किनकि जब हाम्रो अनुहारमा विषाद छाँउछ तब हाम्रो हृदय कञ्चन बन्छ।

4 The heart of the wise `is' in a house of mourning, And the heart of fools in a house of mirth.ज्ञानीले सधें मृत्युबारे सोंच्छ तर मूर्खले रमाइला दिनहरू सम्झन्छ।

5 Better to hear a rebuke of a wise man, Than `for' a man to hear a song of fools,मूर्खबाट प्रशांसित हुनुभन्दा ज्ञानीबाट निन्दित हुनु धेरै राम्रो।

6 For as the noise of thorns under the pot, So `is' the laughter of a fool, even this `is' vanity.मूर्खहरूको हाँसो त बेकार हुन्छ जस्तो काँढाको आगो बालेर भाँडा तताउँछ।

7 Surely oppression maketh the wise mad, And a gift destroyeth the heart.घुसले ज्ञानी मानिस भ्रष्ट हुन्छ अनि पैसाको उपहारले उसको हृदयलाई बिगारिदिन्छ।

8 Better `is' the latter end of a thing than its beginning, Better `is' the patient of spirit, than the haughty of spirit.शुरू गरेको भन्दा अन्त गरेकै राम्रोहो अहंकारी को अधीनमा बस्नुभन्दा नम्र र धीरज भएकै राम्रो।

9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry, For anger in the bosom of fools resteth.छिटै रीसाउने नगर, किनकि रीसाहा बन्नु मूर्खता हो।

10 Say not thou, `What was it, That the former days were better than these?' For thou hast not asked wisely of this.नभन, “बितेका दिनहरूमा के भयो। तब चीजहरू अझ राम्रा थिए।” यस्तो प्रश्न गर्नु ज्ञानको कुरो होइन।

11 Wisdom `is' good with an inheritance, And an advantage `it is' to those beholding the sun.जसरी धनी हुनु राम्रो हो त्यसरी नै ज्ञान हुनु पनि राम्रो हो। विवेक ती जो कोही जीउनेहरूको निम्ति श्रेष्ठता हो।

12 For wisdom `is' a defense, money `is' a defence, And the advantage of the knowledge of wisdom `is', She reviveth her possessors.धनी हुनु भन्दा ज्ञानी हुनु राम्रो हो। जीउँदो मानिसको लागि ज्ञान लाभदायक हो।

13 See the work of God, For who is able to make straight that which He made crooked?परमेश्वरद्वारा सृजित वस्तुहरू हेर। यदि परमेश्वरले केही कुरा बाङ्गो बनाउनु भएको छ भने तिमीले त्यसलाई सोझो बनाउन सक्ने छैनौ।

14 In a day of prosperity be in gladness, And in a day of evil consider. Also this over-against that hath God made, To the intent that man doth not find anything after him.जब जीवन उत्तम छ भने त्यसबाट आनन्द लेऊ। तर जीवन कठिन छ भने याद गर परमेश्वरले हामीलाई कठिन समय पनि दिन्छन् र असल समय पनि दिन्छन्। अनि भोलि के हुन्छ त्यो कसैले जान्दैन।

15 The whole I have considered in the days of my vanity. There is a righteous one perishing in his righteousness, and there is a wrong-doer prolonging `himself' in his wrong.आफ्नो छोटो जीवनमा मैले सबैथोक देखेको छु। मैले देखेको छु राम्रा मानिस उमेरमा नै मर्छन् र मैले देखेको छु दुष्ट मानिस लामो आयु बाँच्छन्।

16 Be not over-righteous, nor show thyself too wise, why art thou desolate?यसकारण आफैलाई किन मार्छौ? साहै राम्रो पनि नबन। साहै खराब पनि नबन।

17 Do not much wrong, neither be thou a fool, why dost thou die within thy time?अनि साह्रै बुद्धिमानी पनि नबन, साह्रै मूर्ख पनि नबन। समय नपुगी किन मर्छौ?

18 `It is' good that thou dost lay hold on this, and also, from that withdrawest not thy hand, for whoso is fearing God goeth out with them all.अलिकति यस्तो बन, अलिकति उस्तो। परमेश्वरका अनुयायीहरूले पनि केही राम्रो काम गर्छन् केही नराम्रो।

19 The wisdom giveth strength to a wise man, more than wealth the rulers who have been in a city.ज्ञानले मानिसलाई शक्ति दिन्छ, एउटा ज्ञानी मानिस शहरभित्र दशजना शासकहरू भन्दा शक्तिशाली हुन्छ।

20 Because there is not a righteous man on earth that doth good and sinneth not.वास्तवमा यस संसारमा कोही असल मानिस छैन जसले असल कुरा मात्र गर्छ र दुष्ट काम कहिले गर्दैन।

21 Also to all the words that they speak give not thy heart, that thou hear not thy servant reviling thee.मानिसहरूले भनेका सबै कुरा नसुन तिम्रो आफ्नै नोकरले पनि तिमी बारे नराम्रो कुरा गर्नसक्छ।

22 For many times also hath thy heart known that thou thyself also hast reviled others.अनि तिमी जान्दछौ, तिमी आफैले पनि अरूहरूका बारेमा नराम्रो कुरा गरेका छौ।

23 All this I have tried by wisdom; I have said, `I am wise,' and it `is' far from me.यी सबै कुराको बारेमा मैले आफ्नो बुद्धि र विचार लगाएँ। म साँच्चिकै बुद्धिमान बन्न खोजें तर त्यो असभ्भव थियो।

24 Far off `is' that which hath been, and deep, deep, who doth find it?किन म बुझ्न सक्दिन आखिर कुरो त्यही छ। जस्तो त्यो छ! कसैलाई पनि यो बुझ्न कठिन छ।

25 I have turned round, also my heart, to know and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and reason, and to know the wrong of folly, and of foolishness the madness.साँचो ज्ञान पाउन मैले ठूलो परिश्रम र गहिरो अध्ययन गरें, हरेक कुराको कारण पत्तो लाउने चेष्टा गरें तर मैले जानें के? मैले यतिनै जाने कि दुष्ट बन्नु मूर्खता हो र मूर्ख व्यवहार गर्नु पागलपन हो।

26 And I am finding more bitter than death, the woman whose heart `is' nets and snares, her hands `are' bands; the good before God escapeth from her, but the sinner is captured by her.मैले यो पनि देखे कि कतिपय स्त्रीहरू धराप जस्तै खतरनाक हुन्छन्। तिनका हृदय जाल जस्ता र तिनका पाखुरा साङ्गला जस्ता हुन्छन्। त्यस्ता स्त्रीहरूका फन्दामा पर्नुभन्दा मर्नु निको। परमेश्वरका अनुयायी त्यस्ता स्त्रीहरूदेखि भाग्छन्। तर पापी तिनको फन्दामा पर्छ।

27 See, this I have found, said the Preacher, one to one, to find out the reasonउपदेशक भन्छन्, “मैले यी सब प्रश्नहरू एक साथ राखें अनि तिनीहरूको उत्तर खोजी गरें।

28 (that still my soul had sought, and I had not found), One man, a teacher, I have found, and a woman among all these I have not found.उत्तर अझै खोजिरहेकोछु तर यति चाँहि जाने कि हजारमा एकजना साँचो पुरूष मैले पाएँ, तर साँचो नारी एउटै पनि पाइँन।

29 See, this alone I have found, that God made man upright, and they -- they have sought out many devices.अर्को एउटा कुरो पनि बुझें परमेश्वरले मनुष्यलाई राम्रो बनाउनु भएको थियो। तर मानिसहरू आफैले अनेकौं छलहरू बनाए।
