अनि यूसुफको भविष्यवाणी अनुसार नै सात वर्षको अनिकाल शुरू भयो। यस देशहरूका सबै अंञ्चलहरुमा खाद्यको अभाव भयो। तर मिश्रमा अन्न प्रचूर थियो। यस्तो भएको कारण यूसुफले अन्न जम्मा गरेर राखेका थिए।
