Isaiah 13
1 परमेश्वरले आमोसको छोरा यशैयालाई यस्तो बाबेलको विषयमा दुःखको सन्देश बताउनु भयोः
2 “त्यस पर्वतमाथि यी झण्डा उठाऊ जहाँ केही पनि उब्जिन्दैन्। मानिसहरूलाई बोलाऊ। तिम्रा हातहरू हल्लाऊ। तिनीहरूका प्रमुख मानिसहरूलाई प्रवेशद्वारहरूबाट छिर्नु भन!”
3 परमेश्वरले भन्नुभयोः “मैले ती मानिसहरूलाई जन समूहबाट छुट्याएँ अनि म आफै नै तिनीहरूलाई आज्ञा दिनेछु। म रिसाएको छु। ती मानिसहरूलाई दण्ड दिनका लागि मैले मेरा सबभन्दा भेला गरें। उत्तम मानिसहरूलाई यी खुशी मानिसहरूको लागि म र्गवित छु।
4 “त्यहाँ पर्वतहरूमा ठूलो हल्ला छ। ध्यान लगाएर हल्ला सुन्। यो धेरै राष्ट्रहरूका मानिसहरूको हल्ला जस्तो छ। सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुले आफ्ना सैनिकहरूलाई एक साथ बोलाइरहनु भएको छ।
5 परमप्रभु र उहाँका सेनाहरू कुनै टाढा ठाउँबाट आइरहेकाछन्। तिनीहरू क्षितिज पारिबाट आइरहेका छन्। परमप्रभुले आफ्नो क्रोध दर्शाउनलाई ती सेनाहरूलाई हतियार स्वरूप चलाउनु हुनेछ। ती सेनाहरूले सम्पूर्ण देश नै नष्ट परिदिनेछन्।”
6 परमप्रभुको विशेष दिन नजिक आइरहेको छ। यसैले तिमीहरू आफ्नैलागि रोई कराई गर। समय आइरहेको छ जब शत्रुहरूले तिमीहरूका धन-सम्पत्ति चोर्नेछन्। सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वरले त्यस्तो घट्ना घटाउनु हुनेछ।
7 मानिसहरूले आफ्नो हिम्मत हार्नेछन् र मानिसहरूलाई डरले कमजोर बनाउने छ।
8 प्रत्येक मानिस डराउने छन्। नानी जन्माउन ओटकी आइमाईको पेटको पीडा सरह डरले तिनीहरूका पेटमा पीडा हुनेछ। तिनीहरूका अनुहार आगो जस्तो रातो हुने छ। मानिसहरू छक्क पर्नेछन् किनभने त्यस्तो डरले भरिएको हेराई तिनीहरूका छिमेकिहरूका अनुहारहरूमा समेत हुनेछ।
9 हेर, परमप्रभुको विशेष दिन आइरहेछ! यो दिन भयानक हुनेछ। परमेश्वर रिसाउनु हुनेछ अनि उहाँले देश ध्वंश पारि दिनुहुनेछ। प्रत्येक पापीलाई त्यस देश छोड्नु वाध्यतामा पार्नुहुनेछ।
10 आकाश अन्धकार हुने छ। घाम, जून र तारा-मण्डलहरू चम्कने छैनन्।
11 परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ, “म यस संसारमा नराम्रा कुरा हुने कारण सृष्टि गर्नेछु। म दुष्ट मानिसहरूलाई तिनीहरूको पापको लागि दण्ड दिन्छु। म घमण्डीको शेखी झारिदिनेछु। म तिनीहरूप्रति कुनै दया-माया राख्ने छैन।
12 त्यहाँ केही मानिसहरू मात्र छोडिनछन्। सुन जस्ता निष्खोट मानिस पाउन त्यहाँ दुर्लभ हुनेछ। अनि ती अलिकति रहेका मानिसहरू खाँटी सुन झैं बहुमूल्य हुनेछन्।
13 मेरो क्रोधमा म आकाश थर्काई दिनेछु। अनि पृथ्वी आफ्नो ठाउँबाट हट्नेछ।”त्यो त्यस दिन हुनेछ, जब सेनाहरूका परमप्रभू क्रोधित हुनुहुन्छ।
14 तब मानिसहरू घाइते मृग जस्तै भाग्नेछन्। तिनीहरू गोठालो नभएको भेडा जस्तै भाग्नेछन्। तिनीहरू भागेर आफ्नो देश र मानिसहरूकहाँ जानेछन्।
15 अनि ती शत्रुहरूले ज-जसलाई पक्रनेछन् ती सबैलाई तरवारले मार्नेछन्।
16 तिनीहरूका घरमा भएका सबै चीज-बीजहरू चोरिनेछ। तिनीहरूका पत्नीहरूको इज्जत लूटिनेछ। तिनीहरूका नानीहरूलाई कुटेर मार्नेछन् तर मानिसहरूले हेरिरहेका हुनेछन्।
17 परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ, “म मादी सैनिकहरूलाई बाबेल विरूद्ध लड्न कर लगाउनेछु। मादीका सैनिकहरू तिनीहरूका सुन र चाँदीले लोभिने छैनन्।
18 आक्रमण गर्दा सिपाहीहरूले बाबेलका जवानहरूलाई मार्नेछन्। सिपाहीहरूले भर्खर जन्मिएका नानीहरूमाथि समेत दया र करूणा देखाउने छैनन्। सिपाहीहरू नानीहरूप्रति दयालु हुने छैनन्।
19 “सदोम र गमोरा जस्तै नै बाबेल पनि ध्वंश पारिनेछ। परमेश्वरले यस्तो ध्वंशात्मक घट्ना घटाउनु हुनेछ जहाँ केही रहने छैन। सबै राज्यहरूमा बाबेल सर्वश्रेष्ठ छ। बासिन्दाहरू आफ्नो राज्यप्रति साह्रै र्गवित हुनेछन्।
20 तर मानिसहरू भविष्यमा त्यहाँ बस्न योग्यका हुने छैनन्। अरबीहरूले त्यहाँ तम्बु टाँग्ने छैनन्। गोठालाहरूले आफ्ना भोजनको लागि त्यहाँ भेडा ल्याउने छैनन्।
21 जङ्गलबाट आएका जङ्गली जनावरहरू मात्र त्यहाँ बाँचिरहेका हुनेछन्। मानिसहरू बाबेलमा भएका आफ्ना घरहरूमा बस्नु पाउने छैनन्। घरहरूमा लाटोकोसेरोहरू र ठूल-ठूला चराहरू बस्नेछन्। लामा-लामा भुत्लाहरू भएका जङ्गली बाख्राहरू त्यस घरहरूमा चराहरू हिडनेछन्।
22 जङ्गली कुकुरहरू अनि ब्वाँसोहरू बाबेलका विशाल महलहरूमा कराउने छन्। बाबेल खतम हुनेछ। बाबेलको अन्त नजिकै आइसक्यो। त्यो विध्वंशको दिन म पर्खने छैन्।”
1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.
2 Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.
4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.
5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the Lord, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:
8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
14 And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.
15 Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.
16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
18 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.
21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.
22 And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

1 প্রিয় বন্ধুরা, সংসারে অনেক ভণ্ড ভাববাদী দেখা দিয়েছে, তাই তোমরা সব আত্মাকে বিশ্বাস করো না৷ কিন্তু সেই সব আত্মাদের যাচাই করে দেখ য়ে তারা ঈশ্বর হতে এসেছে কিনা৷
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 এইভাবে তোমরা ঈশ্বরের আত্মাকে চিনতে পারবে৷ য়ে কোন আত্মা যীশু খ্রীষ্ট য়ে রক্ত মাংসের দেহ ধারণ করে এসেছেন বলে স্বীকার করে, সে ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে এসেছে৷
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 কিন্তু য়ে আত্মা, যীশুকে স্বীকার করে না, সে ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে আসে নি৷ এ সেই খ্রীষ্টারির আত্মা, খ্রীষ্টের শত্রু য়ে আসছে তা তোমরা শুনেছ, আর এখন সে তো সংসারে এসেই গেছে৷
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 আমার স্নেহের সন্তানগণ, তোমরা ঈশ্বরের লোক, তাই তোমরা ওদের ওপর জযী হয়েছ; কারণ তোমাদের মধ্যে যিনি (ঈশ্বর) বাস করেন তিনি জগতের মধ্যে বাসকারী দিয়াবলের থেকে অনেক মহান৷
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 এই ভণ্ড শিক্ষকরা হল জগতের, তাই তারা যা বলে তা সব জাগতিক কথাবার্তা, আর জগত তাদের কথা শোনে৷
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 কিন্তু আমরা ঈশ্বরের লোক, ঈশ্বরকে য়ে জানে সে আমাদের কথা শোনে, য়ে ঈশ্বরের লোক নয় সে আমাদের কথা শোনে না৷ এইভাবেই আমরা সত্যের আত্মাকে ও ছলনার আত্মাকে চিনতে পারি৷
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 প্রিয় বন্ধুরা, এস আমরা পরস্পরকে ভালবাসি, কারণ ঈশ্বরই ভালবাসার উত্স আর য়ে কেউ ভালবাসতে জানে সে ঈশ্বরের সন্তান, সে ঈশ্বরকে জানে৷
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 য়ে ভালবাসতে জানে না, সে ঈশ্বরকে জানে না, কারণ ঈশ্বর স্বয়ং হলেন ভালবাসা৷
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 ঈশ্বর আমাদের প্রতি তাঁর ভালবাসা এইভাবেই দেখিয়েছেন, তিনি তাঁর একমাত্র পুত্রকে এ জগতে পাঠালেন য়েন তাঁর মাধ্যমে আমরা জীবন লাভ করি৷
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 ঈশ্বরের প্রতি আমাদের ভালবাসা নয়, বরং আমাদের প্রতি ঈশ্বরের ভালবাসাই হল প্রকৃত ভালবাসা৷ ঈশ্বর আমাদের পাপের প্রায়শ্চিত্ত বলিরূপে তাঁর পুত্রকে পাঠিয়ে আমাদের প্রতি তাঁর ভালবাসা প্রকাশ করেছেন৷
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 প্রিয় বন্ধুরা, এইভাবে ঈশ্বর আমাদের ভালবেসেছেন, সুতরাং আমরাও অবশ্যই পরস্পরকে ভালবাসব৷
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 ঈশ্বরকে কেউ কখনও দেখেনি৷ যদি আমরা পরস্পরকে ভালবাসি, তবে ঈশ্বর আমাদের মধ্যে অবস্থান করেন; আর তাঁর ভালবাসা আমাদের মধ্যে পূর্ণতা লাভ করেছে৷
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 আমরা জানি য়ে তিনি আমাদের মধ্যে আছেন; আর আমরা তাঁর মধ্যে অবস্থান করছি৷ এ বিষয় আমরা জানি, কারণ ঈশ্বর তাঁর আত্মাকে আমাদের দান করেছেন৷
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 আমরা দেখেছি পিতা তাঁর পুত্রকে জগতের ত্রাণকর্তারূপে পাঠিয়েছেন৷ সেই বার্তাই আমরা লোকদের কাছে বলছি৷
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 কেউ যদি স্বীকার করে য়ে, ‘যীশু ঈশ্বরের পুত্র,’ তবে ঈশ্বর তাঁর অন্তরে বাস করেন, আর সে ঈশ্বরেতে থাকে৷
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 আমাদের জন্য ঈশ্বরের ভালবাসা আছে আমরা তা জানি ও বিশ্বাস করি৷ঈশ্বরই স্বয়ং ভালবাসা, আর য়ে কেউ ভালবাসায় থাকে সে ঈশ্বরের মধ্যে থাকে ও ঈশ্বর তার মধ্যে থাকেন৷
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 যদি আমাদের ক্ষেত্রে ভালবাসা এই ভাবেই পূর্ণতা পায়, তবে শেষ বিচারের দিনে আমরা নির্ভয়ে দাঁড়াতে পারব, কারণ এ জগতে আমরা খ্রীষ্টেরই মতো৷
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 য়েখানে ঈশ্বরের ভালবাসা সেখানে ভয় থাকে না, পরিপূর্ণ ভালবাসা ভয়কে দূর করে দেয়, কারণ ভয়ের সঙ্গে শাস্তির চিন্তা জড়িত থাকে৷ য়ে ভয় পায় সে ভালবাসায় পূর্ণতা লাভ করে নি৷
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 তিনিই (ঈশ্বর) আগে আমাদের ভালবেসেছেন, আর তার ফলে আমরা ভালবাসতে পারি৷
We love him, because he first loved us.
20 যদি কেউ বলে, ‘সে ঈশ্বরকে ভালবাসে’ অথচ সে তার খ্রীষ্টেতে কোন ভাই ও বোনকে ঘৃণা করে তবে সে মিথ্যাবাদী৷ য়ে ভাইকে দেখতে পাচ্ছে, সে যদি তাকে ঘৃণা করে তবে য়াঁকে সে কোনও দিন চোখে দেখে নি, সেই ঈশ্বরকে সে ভালবাসতে পারে না৷
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 কারণ ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে আমরা এই আদেশ পেয়েছি, ঈশ্বরকে য়ে ভালবাসে সে য়েন তার নিজের ভাইকেও ভালবাসে৷
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
