Judges 1:9
पछि यहूदाका मानिसहरू धेरै कनानीहरूसँग युद्ध गर्ने उँधोतिर आए जो नेगेवको पहाडी देश अनि पश्चिमी मैदानतिर बस्थे।

| against the Canaanites, | בַּֽכְּנַעֲנִ֑י | bakkĕnaʿănî | ba-keh-na-uh-NEE |
| dwelt that | יוֹשֵׁ֣ב | yôšēb | yoh-SHAVE |
| in the mountain, | הָהָ֔ר | hāhār | ha-HAHR |
| south, the in and | וְהַנֶּ֖גֶב | wĕhannegeb | veh-ha-NEH-ɡev |
| and in the valley. | וְהַשְּׁפֵלָֽה׃ | wĕhaššĕpēlâ | veh-ha-sheh-fay-LA |
