Genesis 24:14
म विशेष एउटा चिन्हको निम्ति हेरिरहनेछु जसद्वारा म जान्न सकूँ कुन चाँहि केटी इसहाकको निम्ति असल हुन सक्छे। यो एउटा विशेष चिन्ह होः म कन्यालाई भन्नेछु ‘दया गरी पानीको गाग्री तल राख म पानी पिउन सकूँ।’ जब त्यस कन्याले भन्‌छिन्, ‘लौ पानी खाऊ, म तपाईंको ऊँटलाई पनि पानी दिन्छु,’ तब मलाई यो पक्का हुन्छ त्यो कन्या इसहाकको निम्ति योग्य छे। यदि यस्तो भयो तपाईंले प्रमाणित गराई दिनु हुन्छ त्यो कन्या इसहाकको निम्ति योग्य हुन्छे अनि म पनि यो सम्झनेछु तपाईंले मेरा मालिक अब्राहामको निम्ति दया गर्नु भयो।”
