यदि कसैले कुनै मानिस मारे त्यो मार्ने मानिसलाई पनि मार्नुपर्छ। यदि कसैले अर्को कसैको पशु मारे त्यसले पनि उसको साटोमा एउटा त्यस्तै पशु दिनुपर्छ।

| beast, a | בְהֵמָ֖ה | bĕhēmâ | veh-hay-MA |
| he shall restore | יְשַׁלְּמֶ֑נָּה | yĕšallĕmennâ | yeh-sha-leh-MEH-na |
| killeth that he and it: | וּמַכֵּ֥ה | ûmakkē | oo-ma-KAY |
| a man, | אָדָ֖ם | ʾādām | ah-DAHM |
| to put be shall he death. | יוּמָֽת׃ | yûmāt | yoo-MAHT |
