ତା'ପରେ ରାଜା ଶଲୋମନ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ, ବଂଶସମୂହର ପ୍ରଧାନବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସମସ୍ତ ପରିବାରର ମୁଖ୍ଯଙ୍କୁ ଏକତ୍ର ଡକାଇଲେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ଆସିବାକୁ କହିଲେ। ଦାଉଦ ନଗରରୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିଯମ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଆଣିବା ରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଯୋଗଦାନ ସେ ଗ୍ଭହୁଁଥିଲେ।

ଏହାପରେ ଦାଉଦ ଦୁର୍ଗ ମଧିଅରେ ଆପଣାର ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ତେଣୁ ତାହାକୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନଗର ବୋଲି ନାମିତ କରାଗଲା।
