2 Kings 2:21
ତତ୍ପରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ଜଳ ନିର୍ଝରର ଉତ୍ପତ୍ତି ସ୍ଥଳକୁ ୟାଇ ଲବଣକୁ ଜଳ ରେ ପକାଇଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କୁହନ୍ତି, 'ମୁଁ ଏହି ଜଳକୁ ଶୁଦ୍ଧ କଲି। ଏଣିକି ଆଉ ତାହା ମୃତ୍ଯୁର କାରଣ ହବେ ନାହିଁ କିଅବା ଜମି ରେ ଅଙ୍ଗୁର ବଢାଇବାର ବାଧକ ହବେନାହିଁ।'

| the spring | מוֹצָ֣א | môṣāʾ | moh-TSA |
| waters, the of | הַמַּ֔יִם | hammayim | ha-MA-yeem |
| and cast | וַיַּשְׁלֶךְ | wayyašlek | va-yahsh-LEK |
| the salt | שָׁ֖ם | šām | shahm |
| there, in | מֶ֑לַח | melaḥ | MEH-lahk |
| and said, | וַיֹּ֜אמֶר | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-mer |
| Thus | כֹּֽה | kō | koh |
| saith | אָמַ֣ר | ʾāmar | ah-MAHR |
| the Lord, | יְהוָ֗ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| I have healed | רִפִּ֙אתִי֙ | rippiʾtiy | ree-PEE-TEE |
| these | לַמַּ֣יִם | lammayim | la-MA-yeem |
| waters; | הָאֵ֔לֶּה | hāʾēlle | ha-A-leh |
| not shall there | לֹֽא | lōʾ | loh |
| be | יִהְיֶ֥ה | yihye | yee-YEH |
| from thence | מִשָּׁ֛ם | miššām | mee-SHAHM |
| more any | ע֖וֹד | ʿôd | ode |
| death | מָ֥וֶת | māwet | MA-vet |
| or barren | וּמְשַׁכָּֽלֶת׃ | ûmĕšakkālet | oo-meh-sha-KA-let |
