Ecclesiastes 8:7
ଏବଂ ସେ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ କ'ଣ ଘଟିବାକୁ ଯାଉଛି। କାରଣ କହେି କହି ପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ ରେ କ'ଣ ହବେ।

ମୂର୍ଖ ବହୁ କଥା କ ହେ। ତଥାପି କ'ଣ ହବେ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ। ଆଉ ତା'ପ ରେ କ'ଣ ଘଟିବ, କହେି ତାକୁ ଜଣାଇ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।

ଠିକ୍ ସହେିଭଳି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଗ୍ରତ ରୁହ। କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଆଶା କରୁ ନଥିବ, ଠିକ୍ େସତକେି ବେଳେ ମନୁଷ୍ଯପୁତ୍ର ଆସିଯିବେ।

ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ଦେଖିଲି ଯେ, କବଳେ ନିଜ ସ୍ବକର୍ମ ରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବା ବ୍ଯତୀତ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅନ୍ୟ କିଛି ଭଲ ନୁହେଁ। କାରଣ ଏହାହିଁ ତା'ର ଅଧିକାର। ଆଉ ଏହାପ ରେ ଯାହା ଘଟିବ ତାହାକୁ ଦେଖିବା ପାଇଁ ତାହାକୁ କିଏ ଫରୋଇ ଆଣିପାରିବ?
Proverbs 29:1
ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଥରକୁଥର, ଅନୁୟୋଗ ପାଇ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆପଣା ଗ୍ରୀବା ଶକ୍ତ କରେ, ସେ ପ୍ରତିକାର ବିନା ଶୀଘ୍ର ବିନାଶ ହବେ।
