ଏସବୁ ଘଟିଲା ପ ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯିହୁଦା ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯଙ୍କୁ, ତାହାର ଦାସଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଓ ତାହାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମହାମାରୀ, ଖଡ୍ଗ ଓ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷରୁ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିବେ, ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସରଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ରେ, ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପ୍ରାଣନାଶକାରୀଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା। ଆଉ ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦୟା, କରୁଣା ଓ କ୍ଷମା ନ କରି ଖଡ୍ଗ ରେ ବଧ କରିବେ।'

ତେଣୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜାକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ୟୁବା ଲୋକମାନେ ମନ୍ଦିର ମଧିଅରେ ଥିଲେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା, ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ସେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ଦୟା କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ଉଭୟ ୟୁବା ଓ ବୃଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ସେ ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ସେ ରୋଗୀ ଓ ସୁସ୍ଥ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସରଙ୍କୁ ବିଜଯୀ କଲେ।
