ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦନିତ୍ସର ନିକଟକୁ ଶାଫନର ପୁତ୍ର ଇଲିଯାସା ଓ ହିଲ୍କିଯର ପୁତ୍ର ଗରିଯକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। ଯିରିମିୟ ସହେିମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ପତ୍ର ଦେଲେ। ସହେି ପତ୍ରଟି ଏହିପରି ପାଠ କରାଗଲା।

ଆୁ ରାଜା ଯେପରି ପୁସ୍ତକ ପୋଡ଼ି ନ ପକାନ୍ତି, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଇଲନାଥନ, ଦଲାଯ ଓ ଶମରିଯ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ନିବଦନେ କରିଥିଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ କଥା ଶୁଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ସମାନେେ ପ୍ରହରୀ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣରୁ ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିଲେ ଓ ଶାଫନର ପୌତ୍ର, ଅହୀକାମର ପୁତ୍ର ଗଦଲିଯର ହସ୍ତ ରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ। ଗଦଲିଯ ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ପଠାଇ ଦେଲେ ଓ ସେ ତାଙ୍କ ନିଜ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ବାସ କଲେ।
Ezekiel 8:11
ପୁଣି ସେ ସବୁର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ବଂଶୀଯ ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗର ସତୁରି ଜଣ ଠିଆ ହାଇେଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଶାଫନର ପୁତ୍ର ୟାସନିଯ ଠିଆ ହାଇେଅଛି। ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଲୋକ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଧୂପଦାନୀ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଧରିଛନ୍ତି। ଆଉ ଧୂପରୂପ ଧୂମର ସୁଗନ୍ଧି ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ବକୁ ଉଠୁଅଛି।
