Jeremiah 38:17
ତା'ପ ରେ ଯିରିମିୟ ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ସୈନ୍ଯାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହନ୍ତି, 'ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବାବିଲ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କ ବଶତା ସ୍ବୀକାର କରିବ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ ଓ ଏହି ନଗର ଅଗ୍ନି ରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ ହବେ ନାହିଁ। ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପରିବାର ବଞ୍ଚିବେ।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ' ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଏହି ନଗର ରେ ରହିବ, ସେ ଖଡ୍ଗ, ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ଓ ମହାମାରୀ ରେ ମରିବ। ମାତ୍ର ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ବାହାର ହାଇେ କଲଦୀଯମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ୟିବ ସେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ। ସମାନେେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁରୁ ବଞ୍ଚିବେ ଓ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇବେ।'

'ଅନନ୍ତର ମୁଁ ସହେି ସମସ୍ତ ବାକ୍ଯ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯକୁ କହିଲି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବକେ ବାବିଲ ରାଜାର ୟୁଆଳି ତଳେ ରଖ ଓ ତାହାର ଏବଂ ତାହାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସବୋ କର। ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ।
