ଏକଦିନ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଯୋନାଥନ ଆପଣା ଅସ୍ତ୍ରବାହକ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲା, ଗ୍ଭଲ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଉପତ୍ୟକାର ବିପରୀତ ଦିଗରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟଙ୍କ ଶିବିର ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବା। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୋନାଥନ ଏକଥା ତାଙ୍କ ବାପା ଶାଉଲଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ଯୋନାଥନ ସିଧା ରାସ୍ତାଦଇେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଶିବିରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯୋଜନା କଲେ ସେ ରାସ୍ତାର ଉଭୟ ପାଶର୍ବ ରେ ବଡ ବଡ ପଥରସବୁ ଥିଲା। ଘାଟୀର ଏକ ପାଶର୍ବ ରେ ବୋତ୍ ସେସ୍ ନାମକ ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟ ପାଶର୍ବ ରେ ସନେି ନାମକ ଶିଳାଖଣ୍ତ ଥିଲା।
ପ୍ରଥମ ଶାମୁୟେଲ 13:2
ଶାଉଲ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲରକ୍ସ୍ଟ 3,000 ପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିର୍ବାଚିତ କଲେ। ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରକ୍ସ୍ଟ 2,000 ମିକ୍ମସ୍ ରେ ବୈଥେଲ୍ର ପାର୍ବତ୍ଯ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ସହ ରହିଲେ। ଏବଂ 1,000 ଗିବିଯାର ଯୋନାଥନ ସହିତ ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନର ଭୂମିରେ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିଲେ। ସେ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ଗୃହକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପ୍ରତ୍ଯାବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିବାକୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ।
ପ୍ରଥମ ଶାମୁୟେଲ 13:5
ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଏକତ୍ରୀତ ହେଲେ। ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ତିରିଶ ସହସ୍ର ରଥ ଓ ଛଅ ସହସ୍ର ଅଶ୍ବାରୋହୀ ଥିଲେ ଓ ସମକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ର ତୀରର ବାଲିଭଳି ସୈନିକ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଆସି ମିକ୍ମସ୍ ରେ ବୈଥାବନର ପୂର୍ବଦିଗ ରେ ଛାଉଣୀ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ।

ଅନ୍ୟ ସମୟରେ ଦାଉଦ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟର୍ଗ ରେ ଥିଲେ ଓ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରହରୀ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ବୈଥ୍ଲହମେ ରେ ଥିଲେ।
