ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ଦିତୀୟ ପତ୍ 1

1 ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ଯେ ମୁଁ, ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ମନୋନୀତା ମହିଳା ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଏହି ପତ୍ର ଲେଖୁଛି :

2 ଆମ୍ଭ ଅନ୍ତର ରେ ଯେଉଁ ସତ୍ଯ ରହିଛି, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରୁଛୁ। ଏହି ସତ୍ଯ ଆମ୍ଭ ପାଖ ରେ ସବୁଦିନ ପାଇଁ ରହିବ।

3 ପରମପିତା ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୟା, ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଓ ଶାନ୍ତି ଆମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ରହିବ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ସତ୍ଯ ଓ ପ୍ ରମେ ଦ୍ବାରା ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଲାଭ କରୁ।

4 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର କେତକେ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ରେ ଶୁଣି ଖୁସି ହଲିେ। ମୁଁ ଅତିଶୟ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ଯେ, ପିତାଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସା ରେ ସମାନେେ ସତ୍ଯପଥ ଅନୁସରଣ କରୁଛନ୍ତି।

5 ପ୍ରିୟ ମହାଶଯା। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହୁଛି : ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରିବା ଉଚିତ। ଏହା ଏକ ନୂତନ ଆଜ୍ଞା ନୁହେଁ। ଏହା ସହେି ଆଜ୍ଞା, ଯାହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଅଛି।

6 ପ୍ ରମରେ ଅର୍ଥ ହେଉଛି, ତାହାଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଅନୁସାରେ ଜୀବନଯାପନ କରିବା। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଏହି : ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏକ ପ୍ ରମରେ ଜୀବନ ବିତାଅ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଶୁଣିଛ।

7 ଏ ଜଗତ ରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଅନକେ ଭଣ୍ଡ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ବାହାରିଲଣେି। ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଏହି ଜଗତକୁ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ସମାନେେ ଅସ୍ବୀକାର କରନ୍ତି। ଏହି ସତ୍ଯକୁ ଅସ୍ବୀକାର କରୁଥିବା ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଜଣେ ଜଣେ ଭଣ୍ଡ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ଓ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ଶତ୍ରୁ।

8 ସାବଧାନ ରୁହ, ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯର ପୁରସ୍କାର ହରାଇ ନ ଦିଅ। ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ପୁରସ୍କାର ପାଇବ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ଯତ୍ନବାନ ହୁଅ।

9 ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଲୋକ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ଶିକ୍ଷାକୁ କବଳେ ଅନୁସରଣ କରିବା ଉଚିତ। ଯଦି କହେି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷାକୁ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରେ, ତବେେ ସହେି ଲୋକ ପାଖ ରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ନାହାଁନ୍ତି। ଯଦି କୌଣସି ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଅନୁସରଣ କରେ, ତବେେ ସହେି ଲୋକ ପାଖ ରେ ଉଭୟ ପରମପିତା ଏବଂ ପୁତ୍ର ଅଛନ୍ତି।

10 ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଖକୁ କହେି ଆ ସେ କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ଶିକ୍ଷା ନ ଦିଏ, ତବେେ ତାହାକୁ ଗୃହ ରେ ସ୍ବାଗତ ଓ ଗ୍ରହଣ କର ନାହିଁ।

11 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଯଦି ଗ୍ରହଣ କର, ତବେେ ତାହାକୁ ମନ୍ଦକର୍ମ କରିବା ରେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରୁଛ।

12 ମାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିବା ପାଇଁ ବହୁତ କଥା ଅଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ କାଗଜ ଏବଂ କଲମ ରେ ତାହା ଲେଖୁନାହିଁ। ତାହା ବଦଳ ରେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବାକୁ ଆଶା କରୁଛି, ତବେେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ମୁହାମୁହିଁ ହାଇେ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା ହାଇପୋରିବା। ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଅତିଶୟ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ କରିବ।

13 ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ମ ନୋନୀତା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭଉଣୀଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ନମସ୍କାର ଜଣାଇଛନ୍ତି।

11 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଯଦି ଗ୍ରହଣ କର, ତବେେ ତାହାକୁ ମନ୍ଦକର୍ମ କରିବା ରେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରୁଛ।

1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;

2 For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

13 The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.

2 John 1 in Tamil and English

1 ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ଯେ ମୁଁ, ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ମନୋନୀତା ମହିଳା ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଏହି ପତ୍ର ଲେଖୁଛି :
The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;

2 ଆମ୍ଭ ଅନ୍ତର ରେ ଯେଉଁ ସତ୍ଯ ରହିଛି, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରୁଛୁ। ଏହି ସତ୍ଯ ଆମ୍ଭ ପାଖ ରେ ସବୁଦିନ ପାଇଁ ରହିବ।
For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

3 ପରମପିତା ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୟା, ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଓ ଶାନ୍ତି ଆମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ରହିବ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ସତ୍ଯ ଓ ପ୍ ରମେ ଦ୍ବାରା ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଲାଭ କରୁ।
Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

4 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର କେତକେ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ରେ ଶୁଣି ଖୁସି ହଲିେ। ମୁଁ ଅତିଶୟ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ଯେ, ପିତାଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସା ରେ ସମାନେେ ସତ୍ଯପଥ ଅନୁସରଣ କରୁଛନ୍ତି।

5 ପ୍ରିୟ ମହାଶଯା। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହୁଛି : ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରିବା ଉଚିତ। ଏହା ଏକ ନୂତନ ଆଜ୍ଞା ନୁହେଁ। ଏହା ସହେି ଆଜ୍ଞା, ଯାହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଅଛି।
And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

6 ପ୍ ରମରେ ଅର୍ଥ ହେଉଛି, ତାହାଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଅନୁସାରେ ଜୀବନଯାପନ କରିବା। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଏହି : ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏକ ପ୍ ରମରେ ଜୀବନ ବିତାଅ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଶୁଣିଛ।
And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

8 ସାବଧାନ ରୁହ, ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯର ପୁରସ୍କାର ହରାଇ ନ ଦିଅ। ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ପୁରସ୍କାର ପାଇବ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ଯତ୍ନବାନ ହୁଅ।
Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

10 ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଖକୁ କହେି ଆ ସେ କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ଶିକ୍ଷା ନ ଦିଏ, ତବେେ ତାହାକୁ ଗୃହ ରେ ସ୍ବାଗତ ଓ ଗ୍ରହଣ କର ନାହିଁ।
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଯଦି ଗ୍ରହଣ କର, ତବେେ ତାହାକୁ ମନ୍ଦକର୍ମ କରିବା ରେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରୁଛ।
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

13 ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ମ ନୋନୀତା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭଉଣୀଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ନମସ୍କାର ଜଣାଇଛନ୍ତି।
The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.
