ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟର ବିବରଣ 20

1 ତ୍ତଜେନା ଶାନ୍ତ ହବୋ ପରେ ପାଉଲ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡ଼ାକାଇ ପାଠାଇଲେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେଠାରୁ ବିଦାୟ ନଇେ ସେ ମାକିଦନିଆକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କଲେ।

2 ସହେି ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଦଇେ ୟିବା ବେଳେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗାମୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଳ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଉତ୍ସାହଜନକ କଥା କହିଲେ। ତାପରେ ସେ ଗ୍ରୀସ ରେ ପହନ୍ଚିଲେ।

3 ସଠାେରେ ସେ ତିନିମାସ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ରହିଲେ। ସଠାରୁେ ସୁରିଆକୁ ଜଳଯାତ୍ରା କରିବାପାଇଁ ଚାହିଁଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଷଡ଼ୟନ୍ତ୍ର କରିବାରୁ ସେ ମାକିଦନୀଆକୁ ଫରେି ୟିବାପାଇଁ ସ୍ଥିର କଲେ।

4 ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବରଯୋ ନଗରର ପୁରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ସୋପାତ୍ର, ଥସେଲନୀକୀୟର ଆରିସ୍ତାର୍ଖ ଓ ସକେୂନ୍ଦ, ଦର୍ବାର ଗାୟ ଓ ତୀମଥି, ଏସିଆର ତୁଖିକ ଓ ତ୍ରଫିମ ଗଲେ।

5 ଏମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଆଗେ ଯାଇ ତ୍ରୋଯା ନଗର ରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କଲେ।

6 ଖମୀରବିହୀନ ରୋଟୀର ପର୍ବ ପରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଫିଲିପ୍ପୀ ନଗରରୁ ଜଳପଥରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପାଖ ରେ ତ୍ରୋଯା ରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲୁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଠାେରେ ସାତ ଦିନ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ରହିଲୁ।

7 ମ୍ଭେ ସପ୍ତାହର ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିନ ପ୍ରଭୁଭୋଜର ରୋଟୀ ଭାଙ୍ଗିବା ପାଇଁ ଏକାଠି ହବୋ ବେଳେ ପାଉଲ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ କଥା କହିବା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ। କାରଣ ସେ ତହିଁଆର ଦିନ ଚ଼ାଲିୟିବା ପାଇଁ ଯୋଜନା କରି ମଧ୍ଯରାତ୍ରି ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଉପଦେଶ ଦେଲେ।

8 ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁଠି ଏକାଠି ହାଇେଥିଲୁ, ସହେି ଉପର ଘ ରେ ଅନକଗେୁଡ଼ିଏ ଦୀପ ଥିଲା।

10 ପାଉଲ ତଳକୁ ଆସି ଆଣ୍ଠଇେ ପଡ଼ିଲେ, ଓ ତାହାକୁ ନିଜ ହାତ ରେ ଟକେି ନେଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବ୍ଯସ୍ତ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ। ସେ ଏବେ ଜୀବିତ ହବେ।

11 ତା'ପରେ ପାଉଲ ଉପରକୁ ଯାଇ ରୋଟୀ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଖାଇଲେ। ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ସହିତ ଅଧିକ ସମୟ ପାହାନ୍ତିଆ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ କଥାବର୍ତ୍ତା କରି ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କଲେ।

12 ସମାନେେ ୟୁବକକୁ ଜୀବିତ ପାଇ ଘରକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ ଓ ବହୁତ ଆଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ହେଲେ।

13 ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଠାରୁେ ଜାହାଜ ରେ ଆସସ୍ ନଗରକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କଲୁ। ସଠାରୁେ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ନବୋପାଇଁ ଭାବିଥିଲୁ। ସେ ସ୍ଥଳ ମାର୍ଗ ରେ ଚ଼ାଲି ୟିବାପାଇଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ।

14 ପରେ ପାଉଲ ଆମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଆସ୍ସ ନଗର ରେ ଦଖାଦେେଲେ। ସେ ଆମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଜାହାଜ ରେ ଚ଼ଢ଼ିଲେ ଓ ମିତୁଲୀନୀ ନାମକ ବନ୍ଦର ନଗରକୁ ଆସିଲୁ।

15 ତହିଁ ଆରଦିନ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଠାରୁେ ଜାହାଜ ରେ ଖିଅ ଉପଦ୍ବୀପ ସାମନା ରେ ଆସି ପହଞ୍ଚିଲୁ। ତା'ପରେ ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ଦିନ ଆମ୍ଭେ ମିଳିତ ନଗର ରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲୁ।

16 ପାଉଲ ଏସିଆ ରେ ଅଧିକ ସମୟ ରହିବାପାଇଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁ ନଥିଲେ। ସେ ଏଫିସ ରେ ନ ଅଟକିବା ପାଇଁ ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟ କଲେ। ସମ୍ଭବ ହେଲେ ସେ ପେଣ୍ଟିକଷ୍ଟ ଦିନ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ୟିରୂଶାଲମ ରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବାପାଇଁ ତର ତର ହେଉଥିଲେ।

17 ପାଉଲ ମୀଲୀତଠାରୁ ଏଫିସକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ପ୍ରାଚ଼ୀନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡ଼କାଇଲେ।

18 ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆସି ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ପରେ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ଏସିଆ ରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବାର ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିନଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖ ରେ ଅଛି। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହିଲା ବେଳେ ମୁଁ କିଭଳି ଜୀବନଯାପନ କରିଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଜାଣ।

19 ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ମାେ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ବହୁତ ଷଡ଼ୟନ୍ତ୍ର କରିଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ମାେତେ ବହୁତ ଅସୁବିଧା ରେ ପକାଇଛନ୍ତି। ତଥାପି ମୁଁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନମ୍ରତାର ସହିତ ଅଶ୍ରୁପାତ କରି ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସବୋ କରିଛି।

20 ଯେଉଁ ସବୁ ବିଷୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମଙ୍ଗଳଜନକ, ସହେିସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ମୁଁ ବିନା ସଙ୍କୋଚ ରେ ପ୍ରଚ଼ାର କହିଛି। ଜନସାଧାରଣଙ୍କ ସାମନା ରେ ଓ ଘ ରେ ଘ ରେ ବୁଲି ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉପଦେଶ ଦଇେଛି।

21 ମୁଁ ଯିହୂଦୀ ଓ ଗ୍ରୀକ ଏବଂ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମନ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠା ରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଚେ଼ତାଇ ଦଇେଅଛି।

22 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କର ବଧ୍ଯ ହାଇେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଯାଉଛି। ମୁଁ ଜାଣିନାହିଁ, ମାରେ ସଠାେରେ କ'ଣ ହବେ।

23 ମାେତେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଜଣାଉଅଛନ୍ତି ଯେ ପ୍ରତି ନଗର ରେ ମୁଁ କାରାବରଣ ଓ ଅସୁବିଧା ଭୋଗ କରିବି।

24 କିନ୍ତୁ, ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହଜନକ ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର ଘାଷେଣା କରିବାର ଯେଉଁ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଓ ସବୋ ପଦ ପାଇଅଛି, ତାହା ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରାଣପଣେ ଚେ଼ଷ୍ଟା କରୁଛି। ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମାେ ନିଜର ଜୀବନକୁ ନିତାନ୍ତ ମୂଲ୍ଯହୀନ ମଣୁଅଛି।

25 ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ ବିଷୟ ରେ ଘୋଷଣା କରିଥିଲି, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ କହେି ହେଲେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନଠାରୁ ମାେତେ ଆଉ କବେେ ହେଲେ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ପାଇବ ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ।

26 ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ଆଜି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଗୋଟିଏ କଥା କହୁଛି। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ରକ୍ତପାତ ଦୋଷର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନିର୍ଦ୍ ଦୋଷ ଅଟେ।

27 କାରଣ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଗ ରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଇଚ୍ଛା ବିନା ସଙ୍କୋଚ ରେ ଜଣାଇ ସାରିଛି।

28 ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସମସ୍ତେ ନିଜେ ନିଜେ ସାବଧାନ ରୁହ। ପୁଣି ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଯେଉଁ ମଷେପଲ ଉପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଷେପାଳକ ରୂପେ ନିୟୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସମାନଙ୍କେ ବିଷୟ ରେ ସତର୍କ ରୁହ; ଓ ଯେଉଁ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀକୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆପଣା ରକ୍ତ ରେ କ୍ରୟ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ତାହାର ଯତ୍ନ ନିଅ।

29 ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ, ମାେ ଗଲାପରେ ଜଙ୍ଗଲୀ ଗଧିଆ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯକୁ ଆସିବେ। ସମାନେେ ଏହି ମଷେ ପଲକୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରିବାପାଇଁ ଚେ଼ଷ୍ଟା କରିବେ।

30 ଏପରିକି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ ମଧ୍ଯ କେତଜେଣ ଲୋକ ବାହାରିବେ ଓ ଭୁଲ କଥା ଉପଦେଶ ଦଇେ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଜ ଆଡ଼କୁ ଆକର୍ଷିତ କରିବେ।

31 ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସାବଧାନ ହାଇେ ରୁହ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମନେପକାଅ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ତିନି ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖ ରେ ରହି ଆଖିର ଲୁହ ରେ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକଙ୍କୁ ଦିନରାତି ସତର୍କ ବାଣୀ ଶୁଣାଇ ଥିଲି।

32 ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହଜନକ ବାକ୍ଯ ନିକଟରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରୁଅଛି। ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯ ହିଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ କରିବ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାହାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଇେଥିବା ଅଧିକାର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବେ।

33 ମୁଁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିଲି, ସେତବେେଳେ ମୁଁ କବେେ କାହାର ଟଙ୍କା ଓ ସୁନ୍ଦର ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପ୍ରତି ଲୋଭ ଦଖାଇେ ନାହିଁ।

34 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଜାଣିଛ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ନିଜେ ମାରେ ଓ ମାେ ସହିତ ରହିଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଆବଶ୍ଯକତା ପୂରଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ନିଜ ହାତ ରେ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିଛି।

35 ମାରେ ସମସ୍ତ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଦ୍ବାରା ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଆଦର୍ଶ ଦଖାଇେଅଛି ଯେ, ଏହିପରି ପରିଶ୍ରମ କରି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଗରିବମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ଉଚ଼ିତ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯ ମନେ ରଖିବା ଉଚ଼ିତ ଯେ, 'ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଦାନ ଦବୋ ଅଧିକ ଶ୍ ରେଷ୍ଠ ଅଟେ।'

36 ଏକଥା କହିବାପରେ ପାଉଲ ଆଣ୍ଠୁମାଡ଼ି ବସିଲେ ଓ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ସହିତ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ।

37 ସମାନେେ ସମସ୍ତେ ବହୁତ କାନ୍ଦିଲେ ଓ ପାଉଲଙ୍କୁ କୁଣ୍ଢଇେ ଧରି ଚ଼ମ୍ବନ ଦେଲେ।

38 ସମାନେେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ଦେଖିପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ ବୋଲି ପାଉଲ କହିଥିବା କଥା ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବହୁତ ଦୁଃଖ ଦଇେଥିଲା ା ସମାନେେ ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାହାଜ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଛାଡ଼ିବାକୁ ଯାଇ ବିଦାୟ ଦେଲେ।

1 And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.

2 And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece,

3 And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.

4 And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.

5 These going before tarried for us at Troas.

6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.

7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.

9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

10 And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.

11 When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

12 And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

13 And we went before to ship, and sailed unto Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, minding himself to go afoot.

14 And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.

15 And we sailed thence, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.

16 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

17 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.

18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,

19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,

21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

33 I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel.

34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.

35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

36 And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.

37 And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul’s neck, and kissed him,

38 Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.
