ଏହି ଅକ୍ଷଶ୍ବରେଶ ରାଜା ଶୂଶନ୍ ରାଜଧାନୀ ରେ ନିଜର ରାଜ ସିଂହାସନ ରେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ ହବୋପରେ,

ଶଲୋମନ ସିଂହାସନ ଉପରେ ବସିଛନ୍ତି, ଏପରିକି ରାଜକର୍ମଗ୍ଭରୀଗଣ ରାଜା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିବାଦନ ଜଣାଉଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ କହୁଛନ୍ତି, 'ରାଜା ଦାଉଦ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜଣେ ମହାନ୍ ରାଜା। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଛୁ, ଶଲୋମନକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତୁ।
ଦାନିଏଲ 8:2
ଯେତବେେଳେ ମୁଁ ଏଲମର ରାଜଧାନୀ ଶୂଶନ ରେ ଥିଲି, ଏବଂ ଉଲଯ ନଦୀ ନିକଟରେ ଛିଡା ହେଉଥିଲି। ମୁଁ ଏହି ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଇଲି।

ଆଉ ମହାରାଜା ଆପଣା ରାଜ୍ଯର ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଦେଶ ରେ କର୍ମଗ୍ଭରୀଗଣ ନିୟୁକ୍ତି କରନ୍ତୁ। ସମାନେେ ସହେି ସବୁ ସୁନ୍ଦରୀ କନ୍ଯାଗଣକୁ ଶୂଶନ ରାଜଧାନୀ ରେ ଏକତ୍ର କରି ଅନ୍ତଃପୁର ରେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ରକ୍ଷକ ରାଜନଫୁସକ ହଗଯରେ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରନ୍ତୁ। ପୁଣି ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଅଙ୍ଗରାଗାର୍ଥକ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦତ୍ତ ହେଉ।

ଆଉ ଧାବକଗଣ ରାଜାଜ୍ଞା ପାଇ ଶୀଘ୍ର ବାହାରି ଗଲେ, ପୁଣି ସହେି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଶୂଶନ୍ ରାଜଧାନୀ ରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେଲା, ତହୁଁ ରାଜା ଓ ହାମନ୍ ପାନ କରିବାକୁ ବସିଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ଶୂଶନ ନଗର ଉଦ୍ବିଗ୍ନ ହେଲା।

ମୁଁ ଓ ମାରେ ଦାସୀଗଣ ସହେିପରି ଉପବାସ କରିବୁ, ତହୁଁ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥାନୁୟାଯୀ ନୋହିଲେ ହେଁ ମୁଁ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ୟିବି, ସେଥି ରେ ମଲେ ପେଛ ମରିବି।

ତେଣୁ ରାଜା ରାଣୀ ଏଷ୍ଟରଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ୟିହୁଦୀଯମାନେ 500 ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଶୂଶନ ରେ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଛନ୍ତି, ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧିଅରେ ହାମନର ଦଶପୁତ୍ର ଅନ୍ତଭୁର୍କ୍ତ। ସମାନେେ ଅନ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଦେଶ ରେ ଯାହା କରିଛନ୍ତି ଟିକେ ଚିନ୍ତା କର! ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମାେତେ କଣ କରିବାକୁ ହବେ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଗ୍ଭହୁଁଛ? ମାେତେ କୁହ ଏବଂ ମୁଁ ତାହା କରିବି।
