ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଯିହୂଦୀ ନେତାମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆହୁରି ଅଧିକ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲେ। ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ କହିଲେ, ପ୍ରଥମେ ଯୀଶୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରର ନିୟମ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ନିଜର ପିତା ବୋଲି କହିଲେ। ସେ ନିଜକୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସମାନ କଲେ।
