କିନ୍ତୁ ଫାରୂଶୀ ଓ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦତ୍ତ ଯୋଜନାକୁ ଅସ୍ବୀକାର କଲେ ଓ ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମା ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
